Amicas unveils new features in Vision Series PACS

AMICAS will demonstrate Vision Series PACS Version 5.5 at HIMSS 2008. Version 5.5 introduces major enhancements to the industry leading RealTime Worklist™, including role-based workflow management. Also included are extended Vision Watch reporting capabilities and new advanced high availability options.

Role-based workflow management makes it possible to create custom workflows for everyone involved in the radiology round trip. For the radiologist, this means optimized reading patterns and enhanced communication. For the technologist, this means instantaneous awareness of where patients are in the imaging process. For the referring physician, this means quicker results and better service.

One example of role-based workflow management is that ED discrepancies can be identified and communicated back to the ED physician quickly. Besides the ED wet read assessment, other exam factors can now be captured and stored with the study, such as teaching file status, image quality assessment, and study reservation.

In addition to the Vision Series PACS Version 5.5, the Amicas booth (6951) will also be demonstrating RadStream, a pioneering workflow solution; Vision Reach 2.0, a new version of Vision Series RIS, Vision Series Financials, Vision Series Document Management and InSight Dashboards.
